Support Yourself to Make Changes
Sunday September 28, 2014 -- 10am to 4pm
at 1755 E 11th Ave, Vancouver, BC
What do you want to change in your life?
This is a one-day workshop applying non-violent communication skills and Interpersonal Neurobiology to explore what are your underlying motives for making changes and what blocks might be getting in the way. This will be a hands-on opportunity to help yourself and others clarify goals, make plans and turn those plans into action.
We will be looking at self-empathy, empathy and honest expression as foundational tools to support change. We will try out some powerful ideas and exercises in a playful, creative community of mutual support. Whether you are new to NVC or have lots of experience, I invite you to take part in this chance to really immerse yourself in a new way of thinking and speaking.
I would love to hear from you if you are planning to attend (firstname.lastname@example.org) or just show up on the day. Seating will be limited to 20 participants. We will take a lunch break at 12:30 and you may wish to join some of us at a local restaurant, eat on your own or bring your own lunch.
Donations on the day will be gratefully accepted.
I am working toward becoming a certified NVC trainer, but will not be judging anyone’s quality of participation or amount of learning. This workshop is intended to provide an opportunity to practice improving communication and self-awareness in a supportive atmosphere.
