Making NVC More Natural
Sunday October 19, 2014 10am to 4pm
1755 E. 11th Avenue, Vancouver, BC
Integrating Non-Violent Communication into everyday life. This is a one-day workshop exploring the essence of non-violent communication skills to help us express ourselves in a more natural, inclusive way. Some people call this “Street Giraffe” or “Being Giraffe” instead of “Doing Giraffe”. We will be looking at some strategies to make our language and presentation come out in more familiar ways, and at ways of making new language feel more natural to ourselves and others. As well, we will try to get a hold on the underlying spirit of non-violent communication and share our experiences of when it all “came together” for us.
Whether you are new to NVC or have lots of experience, I invite you to take part in this chance to really immerse yourself in a new way of thinking and speaking.
I would love to hear from you if you are planning to attend, but feel free to show up at the last minute if you want to join in. email@example.com We will take a lunch break at 12:30 and you may wish to join some of us at a local restaurant, eat on your own or bring your own lunch. Come and join me at Pacifica Treatment Centre – 1755 E. 11th Avenue, near the Broadway Skytrain Station, on 11th between Commercial and Victoria.
I am working toward becoming a certified NVC trainer, but will not be judging anyone’s quality of participation or amount of learning. This workshop is intended to provide an opportunity to practice improving communication and self-awareness in a supportive atmosphere.
It’s for you!
